.MCTX Mobile & Embedded Computers GmbH focuses on the integration of embedded computing hardware into customer-specific system solutions, whereby we work closely with leading manufacturers in this technology segment. Our portfolio ranges from technology consulting and the delivery of key components to the development and delivery of the complete system unit tailored to the needs of our customers.

Our solutions can be found in a wide variety of application areas such as mobile data acquisition, measurement and testing technology, robotics, industrial computers, intralogistics, telematics, training equipment or supermarket scales.

Depending on the requirements of the respective project, we offer our customers the complete product engineering spectrum, starting with the hardware platform at chip/board level through to the fully integrated, market-ready system solution. Over the years we have gained experience in various key technologies that we use to support our customers in optimizing development costs and time-to-market.

In addition to state-of-the-art engineering tools, we have our own production facility with several SMD production machines, vapor phase soldering systems, system assembly stations and test stations for automated software installation processes and final production tests.

The close interaction between development and production enables us to implement customer-specific systems very efficiently and with extremely short lead times (the typical development time for customer-specific COM base boards is, depending on the complexity of the design, around 4-12 weeks from the specification to the Delivery of the first prototypes). For larger quantities, we work together with external manufacturing partners in Europe and Asia.

Custom Rugged Mobile Computers

In the mobile computing technology area, we implement handheld computers and tablet PCs that are adapted to the needs of the respective project and are used under harsh environmental conditions indoors and outdoors.

Modified standard products are used in most projects. In addition, we have the appropriate know-how and equipment to develop and produce customer-specific mobile computers for specific requirements.

We have already pre-qualified a large number of system components to match our CPU boards, such as housings, cooling solutions, peripheral components, memory components and cable harnesses, with which we can quickly offer system configurations tailored to the requirements of the respective project. We can deliver many of these components from stock to enable the rapid construction of proof-of-concept prototypes.

Needs-based systems - also for smaller series

With the right system concept, needs-based solutions do not require large series quantities. Bridging the gap to conventional information technology contributes to cost-optimized solutions in many of our projects.

Depending on the requirements of your project, we offer you an adapted version of a standard product, a customized solution based on modular function blocks or a completely customized development.

On request we offer you the following services:

- Configurable standard configurations based on pre-qualified components
- In-house development and SMD assembly production of customer-specific assemblies and carrier boards
- 3D design of housing components, mechanical modifications and rebranding of standard systems

- Configuration and installation of custom BIOS and OS/Software images
- Delivery of the systems in customer-specific packaging including accessories such as documentation, power packs or cable sets.
